My teacher in Digital AV made a good point today about help each other out for the benefit of not only them, but ourselves as well. It's true! He was starting giving examples like the difference between Michael Jordan and his team, and Kobe Bryant and his team. Kobe Bryant is said to be on of the best basketball players of his time, but his team isn't so great, while Michael Jordan's team did. The difference? Kobe Bryant is selfish and Michael Jordan helps his team perform better. It works that way for a lot of team sports. I don't know much about sports, so I'll put the concept towards something I actually know about.
I ride horses and I'm on a show team. Yes, we compete against ecah other, but we can still be considered a team. What makes us a team is that we help each other out. If one of the horses isn't doing what it should be doing or a rider isn't in tune or is having a hard time, we let our teammate know and try to help them out. It's what we do. We share tack (saddles, bridles, bits) to see what works for our horse or ourselves the best. We also share tips and ways we approach different problems. It works!
It helps to have people there and help you out. Your job is to return the favor. It's an ongoing process. Back and forth. That's what team players are, whether it be basketball, horse-back riding, hockey, football, or even video games. Help each other out and you will be satisfied. (hehe!)
