The.L.Word

It's something to be taken seriously in some ways, and not in another. You can use it sarcastically or you can use it truthfully, there is really nothing wrong with that. People have thrown that word and its opposite around for it to start not to mean anything supposedly. But it always will. When you feel that way towards a person, or anything else you enjoy, you mean it. You don't just say it, to say it.

It doesn't have to be anyone you are intimately (intimate not always meaning sexually) attracted to. You can feel this way about a friend, a family member, or even a pet. You can feel this way about a job, a hobby, or a sport. When people throw the word around, it still means what it means. The question is, what does it mean?

We said in class today that it is something felt between two people equally. That was debated which is-admitting-a good thing. It doesn't have to be felt by two people equally. Yes, it is something that people share with each other, but you can feel this, wonderful thing, without having it in return. The only thing about this statement is that, how will a person know how they really feel, if no one has ever expressed this same feeling towards them? We are taught feelings through other people.

"The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love, and be loved in return."
-Eden Ahbez, Nature Boy

On a personal note:

I am in love. I'm in love with my family. I'm in love with friends. I'm in love with the four-legged psychotic animal that lives next door. They are beings that I can share my deepest, darkest thoughts and secrets with. Who I can be myself around. Who I don't have to hide anything from. And it takes a lot to get that from me.

There is a belief I have fallen in love and I still love that person dearly. But I have never felt as strongly as I know I can for a person...Not yet.

It's 9:14pm and I'm lost in my own little world. Good night to all!
